Boise State players to miss Georgia game.

Top returning receiver Drisan James has been suspended from the season opener at Georgia for violating university policy. His absence means one of Boise's experienced but unproven receivers or highly touted newcomers will have to step up sooner than expected. Boise State does have depth at receiver, but it is unproven without James. Oregon State transfer Cole Clausen could be the guy to step. Clausen had 53 receptions between 2001-03 for the Beavers and he has big game experience. JC transfer Jerard Rabb and true frosh Jeremy Childs are the most talented of the newcomers and are capable of being big time players, but what can one expect against Georgia in their first game at IA. Linebacker Colt Brooks will have to sit the first game, too, for violating university policy. Coupled with the departure of touchdown producing tailback Jon Helmandollar, and Boise State's unlikely chance of beating Georgia just got a little smaller.
