What Could Have Been, Utah-TCU ESPN

When this game was picked for ESPN Thursday prime time game, it was meant to get BCS buster Utah some national TV and introduce the MWC's new member TCU. But, I bet you ESPN was licking their chops when TCU upset Oklahoma September 3, especially since Utah escaped the upset by Arizona the night before.

The stage was set for last year' BCS buster to meet this year's BCS buster. Too, bad no one gave a second thought about SMU. How could they? The Mustangs have had one winning season since the death penalty, and had not beaten a ranked team since 1986.

As I was watching the intro to the game, it seems they were prepared to have the big non-BCS match up of unbeatens, but were not prepared if TCU lost to SMU. TCU really is not that good. Utah , on the other hand, has a very good chance to run the table again, but are nowhere near as talented as last year's team.
