WAC Schedules

The Wacky-WAC is such a weird conference. It stretches from Honolulu to Ruston, LA, but over half of its members rest in three states: California, Nevada and Idaho. The top five conference teams(Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Louisiana Tech and Nevada) will be some the top non-BCS teams for 2006, but the bottom four(Idaho, New Mexico State, San Jose State, and Utah State) some of the worse. As well, some of the best coaches, young and old, in the game call the WAC home. Dick Tomey chose to rebuild the San Jose State program at the tender age of 67 last year. This year Dennis Erickson returns to the college game as the head coach of Idaho. Boise State and Fresno State are still the teams to beat, and these knee-jerk preseason predictions will change as August approaches. (red=predicted loss)

Sun Belt Schedules

The lowly Sun Belt is next in my pre-preseason predictions. Not too many college football fans care about this conference, but I'll admit that I am a college football nut and would watch a Sun Belt showdown over an NFL game. The knee-jerk picks continue, and trust me the Sun Belt schedule predictions are as a knee-jerk as ones can be. The Sun Belt schedule is all messed, I believe I corrected all the dates, if some are incorrect, I apologize. (red=predicted loss)

Big 12 Schedules

Now I am on a roll. I will try to pump out the rest of the predictions today or by Friday at the latest. The Big 12 is loaded in the South Division and weak in the North. Nebraska is on the cusp of achieving greatness again, but overall the North is just the little sister to the powerful South. Texas and Oklahoma are national title contenders. Will the winner of the Red River Shootout be playing in the first ever post BCS bowl national title game in Tempe? Remember, these are just knee-jerk picks. (red=predicted loss)

Big Ten Schedules

I have taken my freaking time with these predictions, but I have been occupied with Fresno State spring practice. Practice is winding down, and so are many other programs'. The Big Ten was one of the best, if not the best, football conferences last year, and this year should be no different.
